Yi (Chris) Yuan designs curriculum and sustainable strategies for advancing the space exploration movement, focusing on the long-term value of conscious space exploration for civilians. Chris developed the ability system for the Planet Expedition Commander Academy (PECA) system, which integrates most of the theoretical and practical systems of character, technology, ability and leadership required by the leaders of mountain-ocean-space expeditions. PECA's mission is to create leaders for future civilian space exploration through building incubators for the younger generation of space explorers and those from new space nations. He has first-line experience and understanding of civilian participation in cosmological education. The PECA system is a product of all his dreams, knowledge structure and experience over the past 25 years.

Chris is an enthusiastic activist, strategist and planetary expedition planner and trainer, with more than 25 years of experience. He has studied, lived and worked in 7 countries, from Pakistan and Central Asian countries in the mountainous countries of the Greater Himalayas, to the Philippines and Vietnam in the maritime countries of Southeast Asia, deeply experiencing diverse and cross-border cultures. Nowadays, he spends most of his time in Tibetan communities in the highlands of China, working with humanitarian aid and protecting our planet's biodiversity. He has 3 creative R&D teams in these countries connected to mountain-ocean-space exploration, designing brands and strategies for local communities and multinational non-profit organisations and social enterprises. Together with conservation biologist Dr Marc Foggin, Chris co-founded the Horseback Planet Society to promote community co-governance among Highland Mountain Aboriginal people. He is also working with Plateau Perspectives and InnovaSpace to develop joint leadership training programs.
Chris' current roles include: Founder of Planet Expedition Commanders Academy (PECA); Chinese training director of Central Asia Snow Leopard Guards (SLG); Padi scuba diving/free diving Instructor; Founder of Community of Marine Conservation (CMC); Instructor/Trainer of Emergency First Responders; Founder of Galaxy Snow Leopard River Rafting School; Founder of Plateau Power Hockey League (PPL); and Contributor and Advisory Board Member of InnovaSpace.
