InnovaSpace are pleased to support ASES Brasil The shortest distance between home and hope!
The InnovaSpace team are always happy to support a good cause, such as the Brazilian non-profit organisation ASES (Apoio Aéreo em Situaçōes Especiais – Air Care in Special Situations). First established in 2004 and supported by volunteers, ASES organises free flights for patients and their relatives to be taken from their homes to hospitals or vice-versa. This transport can make a significant difference in a country the size of Brazil, for example, their 1st ever flight covered a distance of 700km (435 miles) to take a young girl and her mother home from a Child Cancer Hospital in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. It is not an air ambulance and therefore patients must have clinical conditions to withstand the flight duration and cockpit environment. We are proud to announce that ASES is now part of our global partners and friends network and we hope our support will help continue the work of João Álvaro Madruga, a private pilot himself, and who first thought of the idea and helped establish ASES. João can be heard explaining more about the creation of ASES in a YouTube video (LINK), in Portuguese, the native language of Brazil.
