Gustavo Dalmarco is a space industry enthusiast, specialising in technology development and technology transfer activities. He holds a PhD in Technology Management and Innovation, and is an Associate Professor at the Business School of PUCRS, Brazil.
Gustavo originally studied Mechatronics Engineering, gaining a BSc in this area, and was responsible for the development of biomedical equipment at the Microgravity Centre, a Brazilian space physiology research centre.
He was a visiting researcher at the technology transfer office of the European Space Agency (ESA), analyzing the characteristics of technology transfer and entrepreneurship in the aerospace industry. He was also responsible for the Brazilian edition of Act in Space, a hackathon based on the use of space technologies for non-space activities. In addition, Gustavo is a member of the Advisory Board of the UK-based Human Spaceflight Capitalisation Office.
